I polled the other coaches on whether pitching or hitting should take priority, and all one respondents said hitting, so Lulu it was. ![]() But Chucky’s great pitching came at the price of him being mediocre at best on offense, and in a greatly unreliable team, Luanne Lui was becoming increasingly valuable as she spent several games consistently getting on base instead of getting out. I’d been eagerly looking forward to this point, frequently assessing my players to see who was most likely to be an All-Star, and while there were some close races for a while, things were clear enough by the time of the break itself that I didn’t have a hard time making my selections.įor a long time, it had seemed like Chucky would be the Melonheads’ choice, as their pitching ace in a team otherwise scarce of big stars.
